Based in the Sacred Valley near Cusco, Peru, Mountain Wind offers a few specialized retreats per year. Our staff has decades of combined experience, and we focus on safety, affordability, and experience. We combine this experience with adventure to provide retreats like no one else offers. Our retreats are fun and exciting adventures, but our calling is so much more.
Mountain Wind also offers training to help facilitators, administrators, and integration coaches who are looking to work for retreat centers start their path or add to their skillset. Additionally, we offer services to retreat centers with web design, SEO, AEO, e-commerce, staffing recommendations, and more. Our mission is to improve safety and improve guest experiences for all who seek the medicines that have given us so much!
This unique retreat begins in Cusco, then travels over the high Andes, descending into the Manu Reserve, where we have Ayahuasca and Kambo ceremonies. Then we travel back through Paucartambo into the Sacred Valley to explore on our way to a center immediately next to the Temple of the Moon ruins, where we have a Huachuma (San Pedro) ceremony.
We work with each medicine where it grows while experiencing all that the unique locations of Cusco have to offer. Spots are limited, and class sizes are small, but we are eager for you to join us. You are invited!
The Raymi are Quechua festivals that predate even the Inca. These festivals celebrate times of harvest, planting, and seasonal changes. While the common Quechua people would be observing the festivals for entertainment and sharing with their community, the ancient medicine people would be looking to the stars for guidance. Huachuma (also known as San Pedro, Washuma, or Grandfather) has been guiding the people of the Andean mountains for millennia. Countless ancient cultures have used Huachuma for healing, divination, and deep understanding within their sacred practices.
Modern seekers of Huachuma share a heart-opening, path-clarifying experience. Sometimes referred to as The Gentle Grandfather or The Cactus of the Four Winds, Huachuma is a powerful psychedelic with a tradition as old as the people of the mountains. Coupled with the Raymi, our Huachuma retreats offer a new perspective that invites our hearts to flower.
Our Raymi Retreats are located within walking distance of Sacsayhuaman, directly next to the pre-Incan Temple of the Moon. Every Raymi retreat includes a mountain walk to these sacred sites while experiencing Huachuma.
Visitors are treated to an astonishing view anytime they wish since the center is located at one of the highest peaks of the mountains surrounding ancient Cusco.
The gardens of the center are curated, comfortable, and safe spaces to experience the Grandfather. The rooms available offer every amenity needed to feel comfortable, in or out of the medicine.
We know you may not be able to attend on our set schedule, or maybe you want something special. With our Custom Retreat offerings, you can add Machu Picchu, a visit to the hot springs, and many other additional options. Or build something completely your own, on your own schedule, with privacy and confidence.
